COX, JOSEPH LEE, 88, of Pleasure Ridge Park, passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 at his home. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a retired maintenance supervisor for the old Harshaw Chemical Company, after 39 years and 10 months. He was a member of Portland Avenue Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Marion Willman; daughter, Deanna Cox Heffernan; four sons, Dariel L., Joseph Randell, C. Allen and Steven Cox; four stepsons, Terry, Kenneth, Richard and Stephen Eschman; a brother, Jerry B. Cox; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Portland Avenue Presbyterian Church, 3200 Portland Avenue. Burial: Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Monday at J.B. Ratterman & Sons, 4832 Cane Run Road.
