Joseph John Borowski, 65, of Elizabeth, N.J. passed away on Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, N.J. A funeral service will be held at the Growney Funeral Home (www.growneyfuneralhome), 1070 N. Broad St., Hillside, N.J. on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010 at 9 a.m. The visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment is at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, N.J. Born in Queens, N.Y., Mr. Borowski lived in Hillside for most of his life. He was a truck driver for Wakefern Food Corp. in Elizabeth for 30 years, retiring one year ago. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Local 863 of Elizabeth. Mr. Borowski was the loving husband of the late Camille (nee Krieg) Borowski; devoted stepfather of Susanne Ramoundos and her husband, Paul, and dear brother of Robert, Ronald, John, Carol Antao, Debra Newell, Susan Lukas, Theresa Brucella and the late James Borowski.
