WILLIAMS Joseph Hanson Williams, 60, died suddenly May 23, 2005. Born on September 28, 1944, to Marian Hanson Williams and the late William David Williams in Sacramento, CA, Joe grew up in Asheville, NC, and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1967. He spent his entire career in the banking industry, beginning with the C & S Bank in Atlanta. He held senior management positions with Jacksonville National Bank and Florida National Bank and was CEO of Marine National Bank and EverBank of Florida until his retirement at the end of last year. He is survived by his wife, Julie Cassidy Williams; his mother, Marian Hanson Williams; his daughter, Paige Williams Robbins (Kevin); his son, David Cassidy Williams (Tracy); grandchildren, William McKay and Lindsay Hanson Robbins. He is also survived by two sisters, Krista Williams Lamar and Susan Williams Avant. Joe was the past president of the Florida-Georgia Blood Alliance and the Hemophilia Association of Florida. He was also the past p resident of the Florida Independent Bankers Association. He served on the Boards of Daniel Memorial and the Florida Yacht Club. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at 2:00PM at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 4129 Oxford Av, Jacksonville, followed by a reception in Leatherbury Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Florida-Georgia Blood Alliance or the Hemophilia Foundation of Greater Florida.
