MANCHESTER - Joseph G. LaBonte, 94, of Manchester, died Jan. 16, 2013, at the Laurel Center in Bedford after a period of declining health. He was born March 9, 1918, in Cambridge, Mass., the son of Joseph A. and Mary (McKenzie) LaBonte. He had been a Manchester resident most of his life. Mr. LaBonte was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Prior to retirement he was a self-employed contractor for many years. He leaves his wife of 69 years, Rita M. (Halde) LaBonte of Manchester; a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon J. LaBonte and Sidney (Weir) LaBonte of Rye; a grandson, Jay G. LaBonte and his wife, Sarah (Clarke) LaBonte of Arlington, Va.; and a great-granddaughter, Zoe Claire LaBonte of Arlington, Va. He was predeceased by a grandson, Guy LaBonte. .
