ABEL, JOSEPH E., 79, of Louisville, died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Mae Abel. Joe is survived by his daughter, Kathy Lackers; grandchildren, Kimberly and Ronnie; five great- grandchildren; and sisters-in-laws, Georgia Newby, Gladys Brown and Mary Bratton. His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Evergreen Funeral Home, with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday.
