Davis, JosephMay 12, 1928 - Dec. 30, 2009Joseph "Bud" Davis, 81, of Sarasota since 1979, formerly of New Haven, Conn., and Cape Cod, Mass., died Dec. 30, 2009.Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Incarnation Catholic Church with inurnment at Sarasota National Cemetery. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Charlotte; sons Joseph of Wyoming and Gregory of Melbourne; a grandson, Gregory; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Chamberlain Davis, and a brother, Thomas.A veteran of the U.S. Army, Bud was a manufacturer's representative of lighting and furniture lines for many years in New England and Florida.He worked for the past 19 years at Tatum Ridge Golf Pro Shop where he made many wonderful friends who shared his passion for golf.Memorial donations may be made to TideWell Hospice Inc., 5595 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
