Joseph Curtis Todd - VIDALIA - Joseph Curtis Todd, 88, died Thursday, November 13, 2008. Mr. Todd was born March 17, 1920 in Appling County to the late Joseph Shelton and Leila Barton Todd. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a veteran having served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Todd was retired from the City of Baxley after 36 years as Superintendent of Public Works Department. Mr. Todd was a member of the Baxley Lions Club. Survivors include his fiance, Lanette Turner of Vidalia; a daughter and son- in-law, Carole and Jerry Thomas of Hawkinsville; two sisters, Annie Lewis of Cleveland, TN, and Louise Stone of Rockhill, SC; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rufus and Betty Todd of Baxley and Toby and Betty Kate Todd of Vidalia; two grandsons, five great-granddaughters, several nieces and nephews.
