BRAY, Joseph James CD Major (retired), Korean War veteran Peacefully on Thursday, February 10th, 2011. Born on February 29th, 1928 in Regina. He leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years and best friend Claude Chapdelaine. Survived by his dear son, Eric John (Toronto) and his first wife, Donna Cullen (Florida). Predeceased by his son Bruce Robert. Graduate of McGill University (BA) and Carleton University (MA), and Canadian Army Staff College. Served with pride in the Reserve Army and the Regular Army with the Royal Canadian Engineers, The Royal Canadian Regiment, and the Regiment of Canadian Guards, in Canada, Korea, England, Gaza, Syria and Jordan. After leaving the army, Joe was employed in the Office of State Visits, 1967, Treasury Board Secretariat, Transport Canada and other organizations in the Public Service. Sincere thanks to the devoted and compassionate staff of the Perley, especially R1S, who provided so much care to Joe in his last two years of life. Donations to the Perley Foundation, 1750 Russell Road, Ottawa, K1G 5Z6 would be much appreciated. Private interment at Beechwood National Military Cemetery.
