Memorial service for Jordan Norman Walker, 18, Ormond Beach, who passed awayNovember 25, 2007, in Cleveland, Ohio, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ, 1725 Ridgewood Ave., Holly Hill, with Associate Pastor Wiley Lowe officiating. Jordan was a Daytona Beach native and a graduate of Mainland High School. He served with the ROTC at Mainland for four years and with the Police Explorers of Holly Hill. Jordan worked at the Regal Cinemas in Ormond Beachand loved building things, working with his hands, fishing and music. In May of 2006, Jordan was diagnosed with AML and in July of 2007 he moved to Ohio with his Aunt Tina to have a bone marrow transplant. In lieu of other remembrances, the family suggests donations to Children's Cancer Foundation of Volusia County, 451 East Graves Ave., Orange City, FL 32763. Survivors include his father, Glen Walker, Ormond Beach; his mother, Theresa Walker, Ormond Beach; three brothers, Ryan, Logan and Luke Walker, Ormond Beach; his maternal grandmother, Susie Kibiger, Canton, Ohio; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Esther Smith, Ormond Beach; aunts and uncles, Pete and Tina Janssen, Canton, Jim Bivens, Ormond Beach, and Ann Jones, Rockford, Ill.; and numerous cousins.
