Obituary of Johnnie-Mae Jones


Johnnie Mae Jones Johnnie Mae Jones, 79, a homemaker, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at Mount Pisby Primitive Baptist Church, with burial at Magnolia Cemetery in Thomasville, Ga. Viewing will be from 1 to 8 p.m. EST Friday at the chapel of Strong & Jones Funeral Home in Tallahassee (224-2139) and from 9 a.m. EST until the service Saturday at the church.Family will assemble at 10 a.m. EST Saturday at 729 Delaware St. A native of Thomasville, she lived in Tallahassee for many years. She was a member of Mount Pisby Primitive Baptist Church on Central Street. Survivors include a niece, Rosa Mae Williams of Sacramento, Calif.; three great-nieces, Denise Wright, Altamease Miles and Mary Holden, all of Tallahassee; a great-nephew, Columbus Floyd Jr. of Atlanta; and a host of other relatives and friends.
