MARTINEZ, Ga. - John "Hayden" Wright II, 51, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 6, 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was a 14 year member of Narcotics Anonymous, and in his spare time, Hayden loved camping and fishing at Clarks Hill Lake. He also enjoyed drag racing. Hayden was preceded in death by his father, John Hayden Wright, Sr. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (John) Mills of Evans, GA and Amanda Wright Hong of Evans, GA; mother, Geneva Wright of Martinez, GA; sister, Janice (Bo) Herrington of Martinez, GA; Grandchildren, Hayden Mills, Johnnie Hong, Adriana Hong, and Kaitlyn Mills; nieces, Melanie Quarles and Heather Reese; and a cousin, Troy Buchanan, who was like a brother to him. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Columbia Road Chapel with Rev. Larry Bullard officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mike Romes, Allen Hannon, Christopher Ryan, Mark Owens, Mitch Quarles, and David Cassin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hayden's Johnson Control Coworkers. The family will receive friends Monday, February 7, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Narcotics Anonymous. The family would like to say a special thank you to the Oncology Dept. at University Hospital.
