Teardrops are falling this blessed season. All of the laughter, sadness and years. Are now only memories, photos and tears. I look at the colors and think of the child. When life was still early, gentle and mild. I look at the trees and think of the man, with four lovely children, all a Cubs Fan. I look at the lights with a small hole in my heart. For this is the First Christmas since you did depart. I love all my children, their families and more. We'll celebrate Christ's birthday on this side of the door. We'll open gifts, pray-the usual Family traditions. But it won't be the same now that your time is done. Still we'll laugh and sing and do all of that with a peace in our hearts, knowing where you're at. My children no longer number at seven. We know you'll enjoy your First year in heaven.
