John Wilmer Curry, 84, of Bonifay died April 23 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala. He was born Oct. 29, 1924 in Bonifay to the late George William and Elizabeth Nancy Scott Curry. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Aubra Curry and Ray Curry; two sisters, Irene Crews and Muriel Curry. Survivors include his wife, Lady B. Brown Curry of Bonifay; three sons, Larry Curry and wife, Rhonda, Lynn Curry, and John Curry Jr. and wife, Jeanna, all of Bonifay; one daughter, Diane Brown and husband, Fred of Bonifay; two sisters, Sue Strickland and husband, Billy and Marie French, all of Lake City; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Services were held April 26 at Izagora Congregational Methodist Church with the Revs. Tom Whiddon James Dye officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Peel Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
