HARTMANN John William Hartmann II, died Monday, May 16, 2005. He was born November 12, 1937, in Norwalk, to Harold William and Estell Margaret Galagher Hartmann. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from A.C.I. in West Haven. Surviving are his wife, Jocelyn Graves Hartmann; a daughter, Cherie A. Hartmann, of Stamford; a son, John William Hartmann III, and wife, Janet, of King, N.C.; three grandchildren, Kathryn, Jessica, and Bryanna Hartmann. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Takseraas, and Margaret Rylski. Funeral services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at the Slate Funeral Home, in King, with father LeBaron Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to St. Elizabeth0s Church, P.O. Box 2153, King, N.C. 27021.
