Florence<!--Florence-->John William Carter, 85, of Florence passed away Jan. 28, 2009. He was a member of Underwood Baptist Church, the Masons, and a veteran of World War II. A private service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 30, 2009, at K and P Cemetery in Russellville. Mr. Carter is survived by his sons, Neil Carter of Moulton and Steve Carter of Birmingham; and daughters, Deb Walls and Terri Curry, both of Florence. Arrangements by Greenview Funeral Home.
