Mr. John Wesley Black III, 54, of Quinby, VA, formerly of Deptford, NJ, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox, VA. Born on December 7, 1956 in New Kensington, PA, he was a son of Donna Lee Baylis of Quinby, and John Wesley Black, Jr. of St. Cloud, FL. John was an Episcopalian. He was a musical entertainer, and had repaired and rebuilt musical instruments. John enjoyed collecting old films, and belonged to several of those organizations and groups. He conducted old film shows in the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware area, as well as in New York. Other than his mother and father, he is survived by a brother, Scott Black and his wife Sharon of Lebanon, CT; a dear friend, Annie Slater of New Jersey; his mother’s husband, Clarence Baylis of Quinby, and a half-brother, Wesley Hudson. A memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 164, Onley, VA 23418.
