John W. Kerns III 61, of Simpsonville passed away on Sunday November 29, 2009. Born in Greenville South Carolina he was the son of John W. and Mary Kerns. John served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam in the 1ST Cavalry Division and was the recipient of the purple Heart.John is survived by one sister Mary Jane, one brother James Kerns and cousin and caregiver Timothy Brett.A graveside service will be held on Tuesday December 1, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. in the cemetery of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.Cannon Funeral Home Jones Chapel Simpsonville
