John Thomas Wall of Chatham Borough, N.J., died on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at the St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J. He was 76 years old. Visitation will be on Monday, March 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Madison Memorial Home, 159 Main St., Madison N.J. Mr. Wall was born in Jersey City, N.J., and lived there before moving to Chatham Borough 35 years ago. He was a Scotch Plains- Fanwood High School mathematics teacher for 26 years before he retired many years ago. He was a graduate of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J., having earned a master's degree. He was a member of the NJEA and the Chatham Community Band. He is survived by his wife, Ingeborg (nee Breboeck); his daughter, Barbara Steingas and her partner, George Gulick; his stepdaughters, Lisa Genoese and her husband, Nick, and Sandee Firth and her partner, Tom Cicchetti, and three grandchildren, Melissa, Lauren and Kayle. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chatham Emergency Squad, 45 Spring St. , Chatham, N.J. 07928 in his memory would be appreciated.
