December 12, 2004 John Thomas Dwyer, 56, of Syracuse, died unexpectedly at his home December 12, 2004. He was a commercial construction superintendent and skilled carpenter for 38 years and for several years built and renovated McDonald's Restaurants inCentral New York and surrounding areas. He was most recently employed by Kalyan Construction Co., Inc. John is survived by his wife, Teala French Dwyer; two sons, John of South Onondaga and Paul (Kelly) of Bridgeport; a daughter, Danielle (Marty) O'Toole of Syracuse; three sisters, JoAnne (Edward) Northrup of Chittenango, Maureen (Tom) Paige of Liverpool, and Mary (Tim) Paige of Baldwinsville; four brothers, Patrick (Kendra) of Maryland, Martin (Vicky) of Jamesville, Dennis (Annette) of Camillus, and Joseph (Teresa) of Liverpool; and several nieces and nephews. He was a beloved grandfather "Papa" to David, Jacob, Colin, Morgan and Donovan. Services will be held Thursday at 8:15 a.m. at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 1628 W. Genesee St. and 9 a.m. in St. James Church. Burial will be in Onondaga Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
