CARLISLE - John Thadious Bow, 79, of Catherine St, died Wed, Aug 13, 2008 after a long illness. He was born in Paris, KY, Nov 27, 1928 to the late Sydney and Sadie Lynam Bow. He was in the Korean War. He was a member of the First Christian Church for 36 years. He was an employee of IBM for 32 years, also working in home construction and the farmers market in Lexington. He is survived by his wife, Anne Collins Bow, Carlisle, two daughters, Roxanne Bow, Frankfort, KY and Jadene Gilkison, London, KY; two grandchildren, Christen Gilkison, Collin Gilkison, London, KY. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Fri, Aug 15, 2008 at Clark Funeral Home with the Rev. Ben Pumphrey and Rev. James Gaunce officiating with burial following in the Paris Cemetery. Pallbearers are Aven Hicks, Philip Gilkison, Harvey Wilson, Irvin Hawkins, Kenneth Ishmael, Gail Bow. Honorary bearers are Buddy Guy, Jerry Craycraft. Visitation after 6pm today. Clark Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
