John T. Hawker III, 83, Port Charlotte, died April 25, 2003. He was born Oct. 30, 1919, in Dayton, Ohio, and came to Port Charlotte in 1982 from Miami. He was a retired teacher with the Beaver Creek school system in Beaver Creek, Ohio. He was a member of Community Presbyterian Church in Englewood. Survivors include his wife, Ellen; a niece, Mary Anne Parker of Dayton; and a nephew, Thomas of San Francisco. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Community Presbyterian Church in Englewood. National Cremation Society, Port Charlotte chapter, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Presbyterian Church Memorial Gardens, 405 S.
