John T. FahyMilton John T. Fahy died peacefully with his wife and family by his bedside at Milton Hospital on Monday, November 5. Mr. Fahy was born and raised in Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland. He was educated in Ireland, served in the British Royal Air Force and moved to the U.S. as a young man. Mr. Fahy had been a resident of Milton for the past 50 years. He was a late member of Carpenters Union, Local 40, Cambridge, Allston and Brighton. Mr. Fahy worked proudly at this lifelong career. He was also the late owner of Rockland Coin-o-Matic Laundry Business. Beloved husband of Mary J. (Waldron) Fahy of Milton, he is survived by his children; Maura Balboni of Marshfield, Margaret and Sean Fahy, both of Milton, and Gregory Fahy of Canton; his grandchildren, Kevin, Kathleen and Seamus Hill, Michael, Meghan, Katherine and Ciara Fahy, Emily and Christopher Balboni, a daughter-in-law, Janice Fahy, his sons-in-law, Christopher Hill and Joseph Balboni, his brothers and sisters, Patrick of Australia; Una, Joseph, Philomena and Augustine of Ireland; Theresa and Ann of England. He was the brother of the late Margaret, Agatha, Eleanor, Michael, Oliver and baby Joseph Michael, and is also the uncle to many nieces and nephews around the world. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Friday, November 9 at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Thursday 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in Milton Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
