Obituary of John-Souza III


SOUZA John Souza III, age 50, of Oakton, Va., passed away on Monday, June 28, 2004, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Michele (Turgeon) Souza, and the son of the late Dorothy Beal Souza of Wallingford, and John and Barbara Souza of Monroe. He was born on June 14, 1954, in Monrovia, Calif., and grew up in Bridgeport. He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1971 to 1975. He was employed by Verizon in Virginia. He is survived by his daughter, Lauren, and her two sons, Steven and Cory of Bridgeport; and son, Joseph Zaccaro, his wife, Shea, and their daughter, Kayla, of Manchester; sisters, Dorothy Goodspeed of West Haven, Diane Herbert of Bridgeport, Lorraine Hidecavage of Woodbury, and Irene Souza of North Haven; brothers, James Sizemore of Stratford, and Phillip Ferraro of Boynton Beach, Fla. He is also survived by nephews, James Souza of North Haven, Josh and Ryan Hidecavage of Woodbury, and Eric Ferraro of Boynton Beach; and nieces, Michele (Ferraro) Sbrega of Derby, and Jacqueline Ferraro of Bridgeport. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 306 Industrial Park Road, Suite 105, Middletown, CT 06457.
