Foster husband of Vivian Rickman Whalen Ruggles, son of the late John Foster Ruggles, Jr. and Mildred Sanders Ruggles, grandson of the late Josephine King Sanders and Colonel Harland Sanders (founder, Kentucky Fried Chicken) and grandson of the late John Foster Ruggles, Sr. and Nell Hendrickson Ruggles, passed away on January 10, 2013 at the age of 70 in Davie, FL. A service will be held February 17, 2013 at 3:00pm at the First Congregational Church of Ft Lauderdale, 2501 NE 30 St, Ft Lauderdale, FL. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ruggles is survived by his sister, Marlona Ruggles Ice (Daniel), Bardstown, KY, daughter, Elizabeth Ruggles Pitchford (Murl), Salvisa, KY, granddaughter, Caetlyn Sistrunk Paz (Christian), Davie, FL, and granddaughter, Katherine Grace Pitchford, Salvisa, KY.
