WILLIAMS, John Robert 79, of Tampa, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria T. Williams and son, John Arthur Williams. He is survived by daughters, Carol J. Berger (Edward) of Hutchinson, KS and Renée W. Vaughn (Ronald) of Tampa; sons, Robert D. Williams (Becky) of Plymouth, MN and Andrew K. Williams (Helen) of Walnut Creek, CA ; and grandchildren, Joseph Berger. John Berger, Emily Vendel, Jennifer Williams, Amanda Spadoni, Courtney Williams, John Temple Williams, John Robert Williams and Margaret Williams. He graduated from high school in Mt. Clemens, MI and worked in the grocery industry for over 40 years in a number of leadership positions including executive vice president of the National-Canal Villere Stores in LA. He was well known for his quick wit and great way with people. A memorial service for family and close friends will be scheduled at a later date.
