Obituary of John-Robert Elliott

John "Jack" Robert Elliott - July 30, 1927 - June 09, 2004 - 76 yrs, Halifax, died June 9, 2004, peacefully in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Lameline, NL, he was a son of the late Emile and Maude (Collins) Elliott. He retired after 26 years of service with the DND Dockyard in 1984. He is survived by his wife, Katherine (Gillis); daughters, Charlene (Rick) Bachynski, Sackville; Gerri, Halifax; Marguerite, Dartmouth; son, Kevin (Michele), Dartmouth; sisters, Catherine Elliott, Newfoundland; Charlotte Davis, Newfoundland; grandchildren, Robyn and Travis Bachynski; nieces and nephews in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon. He was predeceased by brothers, Leo, Emile; sisters, Eileen, Nora, Bridgette, Mildred, Margaret. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Memorial service will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, June 12, in St. Catherine's of Sienna Parish, Bayers Road, Halifax, Father White officiating. Burial in Oakridge Memory Gardens, Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Homes, Halifax.
