CARTER, John Ramsdale, At the Hotel Dieu Hospital on Saturday, January 3, 2004. Retired Salvation Army Officer. We knew him as one of God's choice servants who spent his life caring for people - particularly the disadvantaged, the sick, the sufferin g - being a vehicle of God's love and caring. Grateful for many good memories are Joan, his wife of 57 years; children John (Shelley), Lawrence (Shirley), Miriam (Richard) Park, and Greg (Lee); Also ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. The Carte rs served in a number of communities across Canada, including Essex (Ontario), Toronto, Charlottetown, Moncton, Belleville (Ontario), Saskatoon, Hamilton, Montreal and Ottawa. Since 1960 John has been a member of Kiwanis International, latterly of th e St. Catharines Central Club. Friends are invited to a Service of Remembering and Thanksgiving on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Salvation Army church, 400 Niagara Street, St. Catharines, Ontario. Cremation has taken place. Arrangeme nts have been entrusted to the NIAGARA STREET CHAPEL of BUTLER FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Catharines Family Services Department of the Salvation Army. Butler 905-646-6322. Butler - P.
