JOHN BAPTIST PETERS "Sapos, Uncle John " January 15, 1939 December 26, 2007 John is survived by his children: Grant Keenatch (Doreen), Michelle Shelley Marchand, Gerald Peters (Vickie), Conrad Weenie, Heather Dillon, Aubin Michelle Weenie, Cynthia (Wilson) Weenie, Vernon Weenie, Jonathan Weenie. He had one godchild, Shawna (Cori) Arcand. His loving grandchildren are: Lance Peters, Raine Peters, Jasmine Marchand, Chantilly Lace Dillon, Georgina Dillon , Mallory Dillon, Jaali Weenie, Michael and Maleah Arcand, Meaghan and Allison Kaiswatun; his sisters-inlaw: Lorraine (Donald) Fox, Gayle Weenie, Angie Weenie, Bernice Albert; his special long time friends: Donald Fox (Nichowan) and John R. Smallchild; his adopted brothers: Henry Felix Sr., Alan Joe Felix, Harry Felix James Felix, Hilliard Mirasty, Leonard (Red) Mirasty; his adopted sisters: Violet Mirasty, Lena Peters, Ina Ahenakew and Bertha Beatty; also the Gamble and Cameron families. John was also loved by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Pat Peters and Mary Jane Iyahsoo; his loving wife, Adrianne; his grandson, Riley Peters; adopted siblings, Robert (Bob) Mirasty, Rose McCallum; and maternal brother, Tom Peters; as well as Wally Cameron and Terese Cameron. Wake services will be on December 27 and 28, 2007 at Sweetgrass First Community Centre. Funeral Services will be held on December 29, 2007 at 12 Noon at the Sweetgrass First Nation Community Centre. A traditional service will be conducted by the Elders. Many thanks to the Elders, family and friends for their prayers, support, phone calls and visits to the hospital.
