Beloved husband and best friend of Doreen for 55 years. Dear father of Paul (Cindy) of Calgary, Greg of Barrie and Chris (Daisy) of Toronto. Proud Poppa of 6 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. Survived by his sister Terry Bullard of Michigan and mother-in-law Phyllis Petty of Barrie. Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Homes, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of John's life will take place in the chapel on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow.
