PETERS, JohnNovember 27, 1941 - December 12, 2010It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of John Peters on December 12, 2010 in Vancouver. John was born in Waldheim, Saskatchewan, grew up in Langley and spent his adult life in Vancouver. He graduated from UBC as a civil engineer and spent most of his career as a financial consultant, a profession for which he had great passion. John's greatest pleasures in life were home and family. He was overjoyed with the recent birth of his first grandchild. He will be remembered for his wisdom, generosity and eagerness to do for others. John is predeceased by his father Frank, mother Helen, brother Frank and sister Louise. He will be sadly missed by his wife Joan; children Christa (Stephen) and Ryan (Brandy); granddaughter Robin; brothers Henry (Sharon) and Allan (Marnie); sisters-in-law Lenore and Laural (Bob); brother-in-law Ken (Donna); and his many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A service for close family will be held this week and a celebration of John's life will take place at a later date. Donations may be made in John's name to Covenant House Vancouver, CKNW Orphans' Fund, or a charity of your choice.
