WALL - John P. died Monday, May 31, after a six month illness at the age of 75. Mr. Wall was a resident of Ford's Colony in Williamsburg, VA, for the last six years, and had previously lived in Danville, VA, and the Radburn section of Fair Lawn, NJ. He was originally a native of Arlington, MA, where he became both an Eagle Scout and a Quartermaster in the Sea Scouts. He earned his undergraduate degree in civil engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and subsequently received his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. He served in the Army during the Korean war. Mr. Wall's career spanned many years in general contracting with large construction firms. He was formerly senior vice president of Frank Briscoe Company of New Jersey, President of John Daniel Company in Danville, VA, and more recently President of Wall and Associates Consulting. Mr. Wall was a member of numerous professional and community organizations throughout his life. He served on the executive committee and was a lifetime member of the American General Contractors Association. He was formerly Grand Knight of the Father Rizer Council 6828 of the Knights of Columbus in Williamsburg. He is survived by his wife of forty nine years, Betty Steele Wall, one daughter, Dianne E. Wall, and three sons - J. Douglas Wall, Patrick F. Wall, and Richard C. Wall. One son, Michael P. Wall preceded him in death. His six grandchildren are Erin A. Wall, Candace E. Wall, John D. Wall, Mary E. Wall, Michael C. Wall, and John P. Wall. Visitation with the family will be at Nelsen Funeral Home in Williamsburg on Wednesday, between the hours of 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be at Saint Bede Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:30 AM.
