John P. Hiltz IIILongtime Chelmsford resident; 66 CHELMSFORD John P. Hiltz III, 66, a longtime resident of Chelmsford passed away on November 26, 2009. He was the loving husband of Mary C. (Costello) Hiltz with whom he celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on October 31, 2009. John was born on April 14, 1943 in Elizabeth NJ, the son of the late John P. Hiltz, Jr and the late Beatrice B. (Farmer). Mr. Hiltz was a graduate of Colgate University. He was a member of the Killington Sports Car Club of Vermont. He had a passion for car racing and participated in various auto racing events sponsored by the club. He also enjoyed gardening, history, and traveling. He was a devoted father to Amy Elizabeth McBournie and her husband William T. of Nashua NH and Major John P. Hiltz IV, U.S. Army and his wife Lisa M. of New Windsor NY. He was also a loving grandfather to Emma and William McBournie and John V and Ryan Hiltz.HILTZ John P. III. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 3-6 P.M. at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., Chelmsford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 o'clock at St. Irene Church, 181 East St., Carlisle. Interment in Heart Pond Cemetery, Chelmsford.
