John Gustav Ohrn May 27th, 1925 June 28th, 2006 John Ohrn passed away suddenly at his home in Saskatoon, at the age of 81. John was born and raised in the Hawkeye, SK district. He took over the family farm after his parents retired and later sold it to operate the Imperial Oil Bulk Agency in Shell Lake, SK. Over his lifetime he worked as a store clerk, a mechanic, a school bus driver, a farmer, a trucker, and a businessman. He retired to Saskatoon and moved into Eamer Court in 1989 where he worked for many years as the custodian. John was an outgoing and caring person who quickly made friends with nearly everyone he met. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and he never tired of bragging about them. John will be remembered by his children Harry (Caroline) Ohrn; Deb Ohrn (Arden Orum); Linda (John) Scappaticci; sisters Karin Welch; Anna Ohrn and Edith (Ross) Whiting; grandchildren, Chris (Kendra) Ivens; Crystal Ohrn; John Ohrn; Chris Ohrn (Sara); Gary Ohrn; Sean Sarabin (Jade); Anna and Alex Scappaticci; greatgrandchildren, Jordan, Cameron, Falcon and Dylan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gustav and Anna Ohrn and his oldest son William. His presence will be greatly missed by his family, his many friends at Eamer Court and throughout the Mont Nebo, Hawkeye and Shell Lake areas.
