John Moultrie Fleming II BAINBRIDGE - John Moultrie Fleming II, 91, a retired mechanical engineer, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at Memorial Hospital. The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Gerald A. Little officating. Burial will follow at Oak City Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Ivey Funeral Home (229-246-3232).Online visitors may sign the guest register at www.iveyfuneral.com. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819. Mr. Fleming was born April 13, 1913, in Elgin, Ill., and was the son of John Moultrie Fleming and Frances Bennie Jackson Fleming.He graduated from Bainbridge High School and Lively Vocational Technical School. He married Mildred Faulk on Oct. 5, 1938. Mr. Fleming was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a mechanical engineer for Miller Hydro Co. in Bainbridge and had worked for Boeing Aircraft on the Saturn 5 project in Cocoa Beach and on the Boeing 747 in Seattle.He also worked for Sprint Inc. in Tallahassee. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Bainbridge Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Faulk Fleming of Bainbridge; two sons, John M. Fleming III (and wife Georgia) of San Diego and William Lee Fleming (and wife Shirley) of Bainbridge; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
