A memorial service was held at Palms West Presbyterian Church on June 18, 2013. John was born in Garden City, MI on March 8, 1970 and resided in Saline, MI until moving to Florida in 1976. His parents, Dr. and Mrs. John M. Rathgeb; sister, Toni Savage; brother-in-law, Gary Savage; niece, Lauren Mattox and uncle, Teddy Slowensky, all from Royal Palm Beach, FL survive him. John was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Blake Rathgeb.
