MCQUEEN, John M., 81, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in Sebring. He was born May 29, 1922, to John and Mary (Martin) McQueen in Seaford, New York, and had been a resident of Sebring since 1989, coming from Ft. Lauderdale. He was a Postal Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service for 17 years in Ft. Lauderdale and previously worked for Fairchild-Hiller of Farmington, New York for 23 years. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of Whispering Pines Baptist Church. He is survived by his: wife, Myra H. McQueen, of Sebring; niece, Grace McQueen, of New York, N.Y. and Nephew, Albert McQueen Jr., Port St. Lucie, Florida. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at Whispering Pines Baptist Church, Sebring, Rev. Steve Trinkle officiating with burial immediately following at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park.
