LOVELL, II, John M. Loving Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather Age 76, longtime resident of Pine City, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Chemung County Nursing Facility. He was born October 1, 1930 to the late John M. and Mary (Evans) Lovell, Sr. John is survived by his children, Alice (Andrew) Newell of Elmira, John M. Lovell III of Elmira, Clara (Kevin) Taylor of Pine City; grandchildren, Jesse, Mellisa, Heather, Abbey; three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; close and devoted friends, Olin and Mable Wood. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie; brothers, William, Robert, Wesley, Francis; and grandson, Andy. John was a US Army veteran proudly serving his country from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War. He worked for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. as a produce manager. John was a religious man, he loved the Lord. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, on Monday, August 20, 2007, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with funeral service there at 7:00 p.m. The Reverend Chris Curry will officiate. Graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. A "Candle of Remembrance" may be left for his family in obituaries at www.olthof.com.
