MERIDEN - John M. Harrington, 75, husband of Crystal (Pascucci) Harrington, passed away unexpectedly, March 11, 2010, at MidState Medical Center.Born in Meriden on Jan. 17, 1935, he was the son of Clement J. and Mary (Moran) Harrington. He had resided in Meriden most of his life and was a graduate of Wilcox Technical School. Mr. Harrington was employed by New Departure as a Millwright, retiring in 1993.He served in the reserves with the U.S. Navy. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. He loved his cats and dog "King". He was a kind and gentle soul.Besides his wife of 24 years, he is survived by his son, Bruce C. Harrington of Wallingford; Lisa Toomey of Wallingford, who was like a daughter to John; one sister, June Casso of Meriden; two nieces, Karen Bilodeau of Meriden and Holly Slominski of Middletown; and two nephews, James and Thomas Casso of Meriden.The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church for a Mass of Christian Burial.
