Obituary of John-M. Elliott

John M. Elliott, 98, Sarasota, died July 20, 2003. He was born Jan. 9, 1905, in Winnipeg, Canada, and came to Sarasota in 1970 from Larchmont, N.Y. He retired as director of personnel for Continental Baking Co. in Rye, N.Y. He was former president of Cincinnati Vocational Guidance Association, the Foundation for Management Development Board of Directors and the Sarasota Lawn Bowling Club. He was a member of St. Boniface Episcopal Church. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Charlotte; a daughter, Charlotte E. Poletti of Avon, Conn.; sons John R. and Dr. Douglas R., both of Sarasota; and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be in Cincinnati. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge.
