INMAN, SC-- Mr. John M. Crawford, 78, formerly of Spartanburg, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Magnolia Manor of Inman, SC.Born Wednesday, September 14, 1927, in Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late James Homer and Pauline (Littlefield) Crawford. He was educated in Spartanburg area schools, and was a graduate of Clemson University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and served in the U. S. Navy. He retired as Manager of Operations at Allis-Chalmers Company, and most recently had been an Administrative Assistant at USC Upstate in Spartanburg. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Advent.Survivors include a son, John M. Crawford Jr. of Mukwonago, Wisconsin; two daughters, Nancy C. Nelson of Greenfield, Wisconsin, Dodi C. Ross of Germantown, Wisconsin; a sister, Ann C. Whaley of Augusta, GA; and nine grandchildren, all of Wisconsin.A graveside memorial service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2006, at Oakwood Cemetery, Spartanburg, with Rev.
