JOHN LEEDS MOORE, III - MERRITT ISLAND - John Leeds Moore, III "Johny", 55, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2008, at Cape Canaveral Hospital, with his family by his side. Johny was born in Havre de Grace, Maryland. His family moved to Merritt Island in 1968. He was preceded in death by his father, John Leeds Moore, Jr.; mother, Antonia "Jerry" Moore; and older brother, Terry Leeds Moore. As a young man, Johny, worked in his familys restaurant "The Crab Claw" located in Angel City. He graduated from Merritt Island High in 1972. He then worked as a surveyor mapping out the soon to be NASA Shuttle runway. He then went to work for Pan Am at Patrick Air Force Base, it then changed contractors to Raytheon, Spacemark, then Cube Corp., where he worked until 2006. He enjoyed metal detecting, golf, fishing and magic. He loved being around people enjoyed friends and family. He was always good for a funny joke. Johny is survived by his daughter, Carrie Lynn Moore. He will be missed and always be in our hearts.
