LEE John Samuel (Jack) of Lacombe, AB, passed away peacefully in the Lacombe Hospital on Friday, December 4, 2009 at the age of 81. He was born in White Bear, SK on February 20, 1928. In the early to mid 50's Jack lived in White Horse working as a fireman and helping out at a mission. He later moved to work on a ranch near Coronation, AB, during his time there he met Mary McComish whom he married March 30, 1960. Most of Jack's working career was spent with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in Snipe Lake, SK. He retired in 1989 and moved to Saskatoon, SK. In 1998, Jack and Mary moved to Lacombe, AB. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; and sons, Myron and Debbie, and their daughter Stephanie (Chicago, IL); Harley and Katherine, their children, Madison, Hayden, Teagan, and Hunter (Cranbrook, BC); Nolan, his sons, Derek and Tavis (Ponoka, AB); Blair and Kim, their sons, Hudson and Maguire (Kuwait); and, Craig and Amy (Olds, AB). Also surviving are his sister, Margaret (Muggie) Gunderson (Kyle, SK) and brother, Earl (Nanaimo, BC). He was predeceased by his parents, Sanford and Helen; infant sister, Irma; brothers, Leonard and Bill; and sister, Nona. His personal faith in God, and Jesus Christ as his Savior, was strong throughout his life. His life exemplified his devotion to God and dedication to his wife, family, and friends. The funeral was held at the Lacombe Evangelical Free Church on Thursday, December 10, 2009 with Pastor Dan Berger officiating.
