JENKINS John Lee, 90, of Paterson, NJ, departed this life on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. John has been a resident of Paterson since 1947. A retired chemistry operator and set up man for Fisher Scientific of Fair Lawn, NJ. John was an Army-Air Force veteran and fought in WWII. A faithful member of New AME Zion Church in Paterson, John served on the Board of Stewards, Trustee and Senior Usher Boards. He also served on the Men's Day Annual Committee, Men of Zion in Action and was a dedicated class leader.John Lee is predeceased by his wife Anna (Geddis) Jenkins, daughter Vivian Jenkins, two sons Ronnie Lee and Joseph Ross Jenkins and five siblings. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted son Manily Eugene Jenkins, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, devoted nieces, Olia Mae Dixon, Hattie Jenkins, Rosemary Garnett, and Shareefah Abdullah, daughters-in-law Ellen and Gwendolyn Jenkins, Saundra Barnes, godchildren Linda Allen and Stewart Mansfield. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends, neighbors and his church family.Services Saturday, November 28, 2009, 9 AM, at New AME Zion Church, 153 Lawrence Place, Paterson, NJ.
