John L. Beau, 64, of Green Bay, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, Aug. 2, 2005. Born in Fond du Lac on Jan. 22, 1941, he is the son of the late Leo and Orlena (Mengel) Beau. John was a graduate of M.S.O.E. with a degree in electrical engineering. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1959 to 1963 during the Cuban missile crisis. John also served in the Army National Guard for over 23 years, retiring as a master sergeant. On Aug. 29, 1964, he married the former Mary Radick at St. Joseph’s Church in Fond du Lac. Since 1988 the couple have been residents of Green Bay. John had a lifelong career as an electrical engineer, working for the paper industry throughout Wisconsin. Currently John was working for Kimberly-Clark in Neenah. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. John enjoyed collecting trains, attending Packer games, playing with Bupa’s five little guys, fishing, hunting, NASCAR and times spent with his family.John is survived by his wife, Mary; four children, Michael Beau of Green Bay, Suzette Withers of Green Bay, David (Kate) Beau of Stevens Point and Marie Beau of Green Bay; five grandsons (Bupa’s little guys), Cameron Wolfe, Jamhal Beau-Ross, Trey Beau-Ross, Kaden Withers and Fletcher Beau; one brother, Greg Beau of Fond du Lac; two sisters, Dr. Jean Beau of Chicago and Nettie (Steve) Schmitz of Mount Calvary; one sister-in-law, Ellen Martin of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Helen Radick; and one sister-in-law, Gini McCarthy.• Services: The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, at Resurrection Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Green Bay, with the Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating.• Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at Malcore Funeral Home, University Avenue at Baird Street, and prior to the funeral on Saturday. A Parish wake service will be at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Saturday visitation will continue at the funeral home, prior to the funeral at church. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in his memory. Malcore Funeral Home, Green Bay, is serving the family.
