SEMAN, John Joseph III, of Tampa, passed away Friday, June 22, 2007, while under the compassionate care of LifePath Hospice. John was born in Ambridge, Pa., May 20, 1926. He served 20 years with the U.S. Air Force and retired as a master sergeant. John relocated his family in 1964 to Tampa, where he assumed a second career with General Cable Corp. as a department manager. His life was devoted to his family, friends, church and work. Family gatherings were John' s greatest joy. John is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 61 years, Nell Seman; one son, John "Jay" Seman, and his wife, Bettie; two daughters, Pamela Davis, and DeeDee Gibbs and her husband, Buddy; six grandchildren, Tony Davis, Jennifer Rivera, J.J. Seman, Mary Pinnix, Stephanie Wallace and Kim Pate; and eight great- grandchildren, Jaycie Wallace, C.J. Pate, Madison Pinnix, Jaepe Rivera, Caiden Pate, Rylee Davis, Andrea Rivera and Macy Pinnix. John was a longtime member of St. Mary' s Catholic Church and will be remembered by all who knew him as a loving and gentle man. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave., Tampa. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at St. Mary' s Catholic Church, 15520 N. Boulevard, Tampa, followed by interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
