BANGOR - John J. Viola, 64, husband of Sherry (Butler) Viola, went home to be with the Lord March 7, 2008, at his home. He was born June 1, 1943, in Massachusetts, where he grew up and, later in life, moved to Maine. He had many dear friends with whom he enjoyed spending time and that he considered family. He never shied away from his mischievous side. John is survived by his loving wife of three years of Bangor. He was predeceased by his mother, Dora Croce; and his stepdaughter, Virginia Johnston. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where family and friends may visit 1 p.m. until time of the service. A time of continued fellowship will take place immediately afterward at Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 527 Hammond St., Bangor.
