WALLINGFORD - John J. Urban, Jr., 74, husband of Marilynn Bennett Urban, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, at Meriden Center, after a lengthy illness. Born Feb. 2, 1935 the son of the late John J. Urban Sr. and Helen Zabrowski Urban he had attended Wallingford schools. Mr. Urban was self employed as a painter. He is survived by a daughter, Cindi Urban, of Middletown; a son, John F. Urban, Jr., of Wallingford; four grandchildren, David, of Colchester, Meghan, Jacob and Jason, all of Wallingford; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Robert Perruccio (Elenore), of Colchester. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a special daughter-in-law, Kathleen Malone. Family and friends are invited to gather in his memory at the home of his niece, Deborah McConnell, 6 Milk St., Meriden on Friday, Oct. 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
