John "Steve" Hunsaker III, 57, Myakka City, died Aug. 16, 2005. He was born Feb. 20, 1948, in Spokane, Wash., and came to Myakka City in 1980 from Fort Worth, Texas. He worked for the city of Sarasota for 15 years. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War and served in Africa. He was a member of the Meadowland Worship Center. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Carolyn; a daughter, Andrea Sims of Sarasota; a son, David Haight of Pueblo, Colo.; and two grandchildren. The visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with a service to follow, at Palms Funeral Home in Sarasota. Burial will be at Palms Memorial Park.
