He graduated from Tate High School. He was employed as a painter in the Construction Industry.He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bobby Reed and John Hollihand, Sr.; step-grandfather, Leon Hudson and grandmother, Francis Ray Hudson.John is survived by his father, John Hollihand, Jr. and mother, Karen Reed; sister, Jessica (Cody) Chavers; brother, Robert Harrison; grandmother, Lillie Reed; step-mother, Elizabeth A. Hollihand; aunts, Ann Carver, Lisa Hudson, Sandra (James) Jarrett; 2 nephews and numerous cousins and many other relatives and friends.Pallbearers will be John Hollihand, Jr., Jessica Chavers, Cody Chavers, Robert Harrison, Derek Grier, and Mike Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be John Foster and Dwight Malon. Visitation will be Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South. Funerals services will be Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Elder David McLellan will officiate.
