John Harrington 1952-2009 EAGLE BRIDGE, N.Y. John Harrington, 57, died on Monday at his residence on Lincoln Hill Road. He was the husband of the late JoAnne Sprague Harrington, who died on Apr. 18, 2009.John was born on Oct. 16, 1952, in Cambridge, N.Y., son of the late Robert C. and Dolores Nimons Harrington. He graduated from Hoosick Falls High School. He was a veteran of the Marines and was a drummer in marching band. John worked in the shipping department at ADC in North Bennington. He enjoyed working around his house, hunting, his cat and time spent with his wife, JoAnne.Survivors include his son, Marc Caroll Angelia of Portales, N.M.; sisters, Sandy McCart and Sue Hickey and her husband, John, both of Hoosick Falls; brothers, Robert Harrington of Ft. Myers, Fla., Bill Harrington and his wife, Kathy, of Buford, Ga. and Peter Harrington and his wife, Karen, of St. Johnsonville, N.Y.; his special friend, Bob "Benny" Benkoski of Hoosick Falls; three grandchildren, Brandon, Ayla and Jayden Carroll; sister-in-law, Sandy "Snookie" Harrington of Hoosick Falls; also several nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by a brother, Gerald Harrington, who died in 2003.FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial will follow at the Center White Creek Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the start of the Mass. Arrangements are under the direction of the MAHAR FUNERAL HOME, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund through the funeral home.
